Other Stuff, Odds & Ends We’ll keep adding stuff here that just don’t fit in other sections [Prices are for the first 30 days' rental]. To figure out the extended price for any item, follow this link - ordering - this fully fight-worthy weapon is made from the strongest steel available. These come with a left handed grip, allowing for sword fighting with the right hand. – [$15.00]
Z54 - LEVER-ACTION BANG RIFLE – Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf requires a gun that shoots out something. For the original Broadway version in 1962, they used one of the parasol guns left over from the 1959 musical Gypsy. (People think that Edward Albee specifically requested that the gun fire an American flag. Not so. The production merely rented the nearest thing available.) Unfortunately, the barrel diameter was so large that the shotgun looked ludicrous. We feel that our rifle looks more realistic. A simple catch on the barrel releases the flag. Work/prop. [$34.80]
Z41 - TRICK RELEASE CUFFS - far safer for the actor and less expensive to rent. Not as sturdy as the standard, so tell the actor not to thrash about. [$1.00]
[not pictured] Z46 - KEYLESS NECK HALTER - Hinged bands for easy fitting around the neck, but also large enough for use as leg shackles when the character is wearing boots. [$7.50]
Bows Even if you aren’t planning to shoot with the bow, be careful of who has access to it. A simple dull stick fired from a weak bow can pass through the human body. Although there is no explosive in a bow and arrow, please remember that this is as dangerous as a firearm. Of course an arrow travels more slowly than a bullet, but because of the greater mass, it can cause far more damage. Someone hit with a rubber tipped arrow can die. first 3 arrows - no rental charge, then 30 cents rental for each subsequent arrow
Z74 – WELSH LONGBOW – limited availability. Made of wood, just under six feet tall. 60 lb. draw strength. [$30.00]
Z72 – LIGHT SPORTING BOW – 15 lb draw strength, about 38 inches tall. [$9.00]
Z71 – EARLY RECURVE BOW – not practical, prop only. 33 inches [$13.80]
Z73 – MODERN SPORTING BOW – 20 lb draw strength using double pulleys and integral quiver (as shown, the right side of the picture is the top of the bow, so the arrows are held pointing up [$17.40]
NOTE: for less than half the above rental price, we still have some plastic quivers for SALE. Only $4 each. Check out our Attic
